Objectives

The stigma activities in SHIELD will support JA partners in translating political and human rights commitments into concrete, evidence‑based actions to increase awareness and reduce stigma and discrimination (HIV, viral hepatitis, TB and STIs), with a specific focus on healthcare and educational settings.

Leads

The Work Package lead is the Dirección General de Salud Pública y Equidad en Salud del Ministerio de Sanidad de España - Spain

    Reduce stigma and discrimination associated with HIV, viral hepatitis, TB, STIs, and HPV and advance equitable, human rights-based approaches to prevention and care
  2. 2.
    Support countries in translating political and human rights commitments into action to eliminate stigma and discrimination related to HIV, viral hepatitis, TB, and STIs
  3. 3.
    Develop and evaluate effective stigma‑reduction interventions in healthcare and educational settings
  4. 4.
    Strengthen awareness, knowledge, and capacity among communities and professionals to address stigma
