SHIELD JA launches webinar series
The SHIELD Joint Action has launched its webinar series, creating a platform for knowledge-sharing and discussion on infection-related and vaccine-preventable cancer prevention across Europe.
The first SHIELD webinar “Single-Dose HPV Vaccination, Evidence, Policy and Implementation Perspectives” was held on 11 March 2026. The webinar focused on the evidence behind single-dose HPV vaccination and its implications for vaccination programmes across Europe.
On 22 June, the SHIELD Joint Action hosted the second webinar in the SHIELD webinar series: “Motivational interviewing to promote vaccine communication – methods and study results.” This webinar explored how to improve vaccine communication and address vaccine hesitancy and demonstrates the effectiveness of patient-centered conversations.
The SHIELD webinar series will continue throughout the lifetime of the Joint Action, providing opportunities for researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge and discuss effective prevention strategies.
